Diode Laser Hair Removal

A laser is a device that produces an intensely focused beam of light of a single colour, wavelength, frequency and phase. Leaving the handpiece, the beam enters the skin and the hair follicles and is absorbed by the melanin. As it is absorbed by the melanin in the follicle it converts into heat and burns the walls of the follicle, along with the hair itself, destroying its structure.

After the session there is light redness around the follicles, and the burnt hairs are barely visible over the following days until they gradually start to fall out. Sessions are repeated every 4 to 5 weeks, for as many times as needed depending on the type of hair, the area and other individual factors.
